Preston City Council is hosting a drop in session for local businesses on August 6 between 12pm and 2pm to find out more about Winckley Square road closure plans in relation to the Preston Guild.
The event will provide local businesses with more information on the Winckley Square Food Festival which takes place on Saturday September 1 and Sunday September 2, and Preston Guild City Festival, which takes place from Saturday 1 to Sunday September 9.
The Square Food Festival is an integral part of the 2012 Guild Celebrations and will provide the opportunity to showcase both Winckley Square as well as some of the region’s finest food and drink.
Road closures will be in place from August 30 to September 3 and further information on traffic management arrangements is also included here.
The Guild City Festival is being staged on Avenham & Miller Parks and Frenchwood Recreation Ground and includes the Vintage Festival, We Play Expo, Proms in the Park and the G Music Festival.
The Council has already organised a number of consultation events for both residents and businesses to provide information and answer questions on the impact of the core Guild Programme.
However, it also wants to provide a separate opportunity for businesses within the Winckley Square area to find out some more information on the events in more detail.
The Drop In will take place at the offices of Harrison Drury Solicitors, 1a Chapel St., Winckley Square on Monday August 6 2012 from 12pm.
Council Officers will be on hand to respond to any questions that you may have relating to topics such as for example road closures, traffic and access arrangements, event organisation and business continuity.
The drop in event will last from Midday to 2.00 pm and you are free to call in at any time between these times.
